Hormone cards

Human Growth Hormone? (HGH) duplicates body cells and promotes synthesis and secretion of small protein hormones.
Insulin Growth Factors? (IGF) Stimulate protein synthesis, helps maintain muscle and bone mass, promotes healing of injuries and tissue repair.
Growth Hormone-Realasing Hormone? (GHRH) Promotes secretion of human growth hormone.
Growth Hormone-Inhibitiing Hormone? (GHIH) Suppresses Human Hormone.
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone? (TSH)Negative Feedback. Stimulates the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland.
Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone? (TRH) Releases thyrotropin hormones.
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone? (FSH) Iniates the production os several ovarion follicles and sperm production.
Luteinizing Hormone? (LH) Production of estrogen in women, and testerone in men.
Gondudotropin-Releasin Hormone? (GNRH) Stimulates FSH and LH.
Prolactin? (PRL) Produces milk in the mammary glands.
Prolactin-Inhibiting Hormone? (PIH)Suppresses release of prolactin.
Prolactin-Releasing Hormone? (PRH) Stimulates the release of prolactin
Oxytocin? Has two targets: mothers uterus and breasts. During labor oxytocin enhances contractions and after it stimulates the milk from the mammary glands.
Anti-Diuretic Hormone? (ADH)Kidneys retain more water, increasing urine, and constricts arteries, raising the blood pressure.
Thyroid Hormones? T3 and T4 Regulates metabolism, growth and development and activitiy of the nervous system
Glucagon? Increase blood glucose when low.
Insulin? Lower blood glucose when high.
Cortisol? Breaks down protein in muscles, breaks down triglycerides, and decreases inflammation caused by white blood cells.
Epinephrine? Increases functions for fight or flight syndrome and works on the heart.
Norepinephrine? Same as epinephrine bur works on the rest of the body.
Estrogen? A Sex Hormone that regulates menstrual cycle, and maintains pregnancy and lactation.
Progesterone? A female sex hormone, produced by ovaries, prepares for the uterus to be stretched and the mammary glands for milk secrection.
