Tendons are attached at two ends. What are the names and distinctions between each of the ends. The origin of the muscle attached to a bone that doesn't move. Insertion is the attachment to a bone that does move.
Muscles that decrease joint angle are called flexors
muscles that increase joint angles extensors

The outermost layer that surrounds the entire muscle is called epimysium
what connective tissue surrounds individual bundles of muscle fibers perimysium
fibers surrounding each muscle fiber endomyosin
multinucleated? the significance of this is related to myonuclear domain.
Myonucular domain, what is it? biological significance is that a single nucleus can sustain the nessary gene expression (expression of proteins) only for a limited area of cell volume.
how does a muscle cell stay multinucleated? it is through the satilite cells that new nuclei are obtain
What is the significance of alternating light and dark bands? The lighter colored bands are representative of the protein actin and the dark protein is significant of the protein myosin
The light portion of the sarcomere is known as what? the dark portion? the light portion is known as the I band and the dark portion is known as the A band.
the sarcolemma is what?` The sarcolemma is a cell membrane surrounding the muscle fiber.
sarcoplasm aka cytoplasm
myofibrils are what are numerous threadlike structures that contain the contractile proteins.
myosin thick filaments
