Density-a measure of the amount of matter contained by a given volume air with more density will sink and air with less density will rise
Humidity-amount of water vapor in the atmosphere it increases the likely hood of precipitation
Condensation-conversion of gas to liquid responsible for make clouds, which may produce precipitaton
Low pressure-warm air,less dense, and rises associated with warm,humid, and rainy weather
High pressure-cool air, more dense, and sinks associated with cool,dry and sunny weather.
Cold Front-leading edge of a cooler mass of air, replacing (at ground level) a warmer mass of air. heavy rain or thunderstorms will occur for a short period of time..after it passes through the often will be clear skies and cooler temperatures
Warm Front-leading edge of an advancing mass of warm air; it separates warm air from the colder air ahead. humid, cloudy weather or light rain occurs and will last for several days
Stationary Front-a front that has no movement, with cold air on one side and warm air on the other can form rain,snow,fog, or clouds...can bring many days of clouds and precipitation
Occluded Front-when warm air mass is caught between two cold air masses temp near ground becomes cooler...these cause weather to turn cloudy and rainy or snowy
Weather Map-a map showing the principal meteorological elements at a given time and over an extended region N/A
Isobar-A line on a map connecting points having the same atmospheric pressure at a given time or on average over a given period N/A
