Force A push or pull
Gravity A force that attracts all objects toward each other.
Mass The amount of matter in an object.
Weight The force of gravity on an object.
Inertia The tendency of an object to resist changes in motion.
Newton's 1st Law of Motion An object at rest, or in motion, stays at rest, or in motion, unless acted upon by an outside force.
Astronomy The study of the moon, stars, and other objects in space.
Axis The imaginary line that goes through Earth's poles and center.
Rotation The spinning of Earth on its axis.
Revolution The movement of one object around another.
Orbit Earth's path as it travels around the sun.
Calendar A system of organizing time the defines the beginning, length, and divisions of a year.
Solstice The day when the sun is it's greatest distance north or south of the equator.
Equinox The day, halfway between the solstices, when night and day are equal.
