Cell Wall The cell wall is rigid, nonliving material surrounding the cell, the cell wall helps protect and support the cell.
Cell membrane A cell membrane is a cell structure that controls which substances can enter and leave the cell.
Cytoplasm The cytoplasm is the region between the cell membrane and the nucleus.
Nucleus The nucleus is the control center for the cell, it controls the cell activities.
Mitochondria Mitochondria converts energy in food molecules, into energy the cell can use to carry out the functions.
Endoplasmic reticulum It carries out proteins and other materials from one part of the cell to another
Ribosomes Ribosomes are attached to some surfaces of the endoplasmic reticulum, and help produce proteins.
Golgi body The golgi body receives proteins and other materials and distributes them to other parts of the cell
Chloroplasts Chloroplasts are floating in the cytoplasm, they capture energy from sunlight and make food for the cell.
Vacuoles They are found floating in the cytoplasm, they are the storage area for the cell
Lysosomes Lysosomes are small round structures containing chemicals that break down certain materials in the cell.
