The job/ functions of plant & Animal Cells

Cell Wall To protect the cell, to act like armor, to keep the cell safe from danger.
Cell Membrane To let in the things that are good for the cell and keep out the bad, acts as a second cell wall.
Nucleus To control the cell, it's brain.
Cytoplasm A thick gel-like fluid that holds many cell organelles.
Mitochondria To convert food to energy.
Endoplasmic reticulum To carry energy from one part to another.
Ribosome To make protein.
Golgi body To send protein through out the cell.
Chloroplasts To capture energy from sun light and make it into food.
Vacuoles To be the storage units of the cell.
Lysosomes To break down certain materials of the cell.
