| Base | Bottom that supports the microscope and helps keep it steady. |
| Fine Adjustment Knob | Raises and lowers the stage by small amounts with each turn. Used after the coarse adjustment knob to focus. |
| Coarse Adjustment Knob | Raises and lowers the stage by large amounts with each turn. Used first to focus. |
| Stage Clip | Holds the slide in place |
| Arm | Curved part of frame used to carry the microscope. |
