What are chromosomes? DNA is wrapped around proteins like thread around a spool and compacted
What is the cell cycle? normal sequence of development and division of a cell
What is Interphase? Part of the cell cycle during which a cell is not dividing
What is Mitosis? part of a cell cycle during which the nucleus divides
What are Cytokinesis? the division of the parent cells cytoplasm
What is asexual production? one organism produces one or more new oragnismas that are identical to itself and that live independently
What is Binary fission? form of asexual reproduction occurring in prokaryotics
What is regeneration? process of new tissue growth at these sites
