Motion Test Guide

QuestionAnswer
Motion An object in which its distance from another object changes.
Reference Point A place or object used for comparison to determind if something is in motion.
Speed The distance the object travels in one unit of time. Distance/time
Velocity Speed in a given direction.
Distance Speed * time
Time distance/speed
Acceleration The rate of which velocity changes.
Kinetic energy The energy in motion.
Potential Energy Energy that is stored and held in readiness.
thermal energy total energy of the particles in an object.
