Ch1. What did Lucy find in the wardrobe? She first ran into fur coats and as she went on going she landed up in the woods with snow beneath her feet and snow falling from the sky. p.5
Ch1. What happened when Lucy walked up to the lamp post? A man little taller than Lucy came up to her. He looked like a man from the waist up but his legs were shaped like goat's. He was a faun.
Ch2: Had the faun ever seen a human being or a son or daughter of Adam or Eve? No. p.9
Ch2: What was the name of the faun? Tumnus p.9
Ch2: What was the name of the place where Lucy had met the faun? Narnia. they were between the lampposts and the castle of Cair Paravel p.9
Ch2: Where did Tumnus take Lucy for the cup of tea? In a little, dry, clean cave with a reddish carpet on the floor and two little chairs. p.11

They did not believe her and went into the closet to double check and found out that it was a perfectly normal one with a back wall. They did not see any snow or woods at the end of it. her friends thought that she was joking about the faun. p.21
ch3: What happened to Edmund one day when he went inside the wardrobe looking for Lucy? He landed up in Narnia and saw the queen of Narnia in her sledge. The queen stopped and asked Edmund his name. p.24-25.
ch4: What did the queen mistake Edmund for? She thought of Edmund to be an overgrown dwarf with his beard cut off. p.26
ch4: what does the word "mantle" mean?(just for vocabulary) a loose, sleeveless cloak or cape
ch4: what did the queen offer Edmund? She asked him to hop onto her sledge and gave him a magical warm drink and Turkish delight that Edmund asked for.
ch4: what did Edmund tell the Queen about their group He told her that they were four of them and his sister Lucy was the only one who knew about Narnia.
ch4: what did the queen promise Edmund? She promised her to bring him up as her prince and make him the King one day and feed him lots of Turkish Delight if he came back with his brothers and sisters.
ch4: what did Queen advice Edmund to tell the other kids about their meeting? She asked Edmunds to keep it a secret and surprise them on their next trip. She also advised him to not believe in any bad stories that the faun might have told Lucy about her.
ch5: What did Edmund say to Peter and Susan when Lucy told them about her and Edmund visiting Narnia again? He became very spiteful(mean) and told them that he was simply pretending to be in the land of Narnia and playing along with Lucy's strange stories.
ch5: what did the professor say upon hearing about Lucy's story? He said that since Lucy always spoke the truth and wasn't mad one should think that she is speaking the truth.
ch5: how did all the kids land up in the wardrobe? Mrs. Macready was giving a tour of the house to visitors and had asked the kids to stay out of their path earlier. So the kids landed up in the wardrobe to hide from them.
ch6: what did they find out about Mr Tumnus when Lucy led them to his cave? They found out that he had been arrested by the queen for fraternizing with her enemies. There was a note from the queen's men in his cave about it.
ch6: what did the children decide to do? they decided to try and help release Tumnis the Faun from prison.
ch6: whose help did they seek to try and find Tunmis? A Robin bird on the tree started to lead them the way once they asked it if it knew anything about the whereabouts of the faun.
ch7: what animal did they meet on their way once they lost sight of the Robin? they met a beaver which beckoned them from behind the trees.
ch7: what did the beaver show them to prove that he was on their side and not on the White Witch's side? he showed them the handkerchief that Lucy had given to the faun.
ch7: What strange term did the beaver use to warn the children? The Alsan is on the move
ch7: Where did the beaver take them for safety? an open space with a dam and frozen river. on top of the dam was a funny little house of the beaver
ch7: what did Mrs. Beaver ask Mr. Beaver to get? She asked him to get some fish. Mr. Beaver went and fished some trouts.
ch7: what food did the Beavers serve the children? fried trout, potatoes, creamy milk and a big lump of yellow butter. she also served marmalade roll with tea as desert.
ch8: what did the beavers tell them about the queen's palace? she said that nobody could get in there without her permission and could not come out alive since she used to turn people into stone.
ch8: who according to the beavers could save Tumnis? Aslan the king of the jungle (a Lion).
ch8: was the queen a human? what was she? the queen wasn't a human being. she was from Adam's first wife Lilith's side (a giant). she was half a Jinn and half a giantess
ch8: why was the Witch queen looking out for the four kids? according to Mr. Beaver, as per one of the prophecies if 2 girls and 2 boys sat on the thrones at Cair Paravel then it would bring and end to the witch's reign and life. she wanted to turn them into stones before anything of that sort could happen.
ch8: where had edmund gone and why? he had sneaked out of the Beaver's house to go the queen's house and betrayed his brothers and sisters.
ch8: did Edmund know that the kids were planning on meeting Aslan? yes he did know about it and they feared that the queen would be on her way to get them in no time.
ch9: why did Edmund sneak out of the house? Edmunds left the house because he kept thinking of the magical Turkish Delight food. He also wanted to become the King of Narnia real bad. the magic of the Turkish Delight also made him feel terrible whenever he heard about Aslan.
ch9: what did Edmunds see when he reached the queen's castle? he saw a lion and dwarfs in the courtyard. he found out that they were actually stone dwarfs and lion. he thought that the queen had already turned Aslan into stone.
ch9: what live animal did he meet in the castle? a large gray Wolf Fenris Ulf the chief of Witch's secret police asked him who he was?
ch10: where were they supposed to meet Aslan at? The Stone Table.
ch10: where did the Beavers take the children? They took them to a secret hiding place for beavers which would serve as safe resting place for the night to catch a good night's sleep.
ch10: whom did Mr. Beaver see when he got out of the burrow to take a closer look at sledge that was causing the jingling noise It was the sledge of father Christmas. He said that he had made it at last to Narnia since Aslan was about to arrive and the witch's spell was starting to weaken.
ch10: what did Father Christmas gift Mrs. Beaver? a new big sewing machine.
ch10: what did he have for Mr. Beaver? the dam fixed up with a new sluice gate
ch10: what did he bring for Peter? a shield and a sword

ch10: what did he give to Lucy? a small bottle and a dagger. in the bottle was a juice which when applied a few drops would restore an injured person.

ch11: why did the queen turn the squirrel family into stone? because they were feasting on the food given to them by Father Christmas
ch11: why did the queen, the dwarf and Edmund have to start walking instead of travelling on the sledge? the weather had started to get warmer like spring and the snow had started to melt making it impossible for the sledge to move on the muddy grass
ch12: where was the Stone Table located at? It was in the middle of the open hilltop where the Beavers had taken the children.
ch12: what did the Stone Table look like? It was a great gray slab of stone supported by four upright stones. It looked very old and was cut all over with strange lines and figures of an unknown language.
ch12: what creatures surrounded Aslan in the pavilion when they saw him for the first time? p. 101-102 tree-women, well-women(dryads & naiads), four great centaurs(horse-beautiful giants), a unicorn, a bull with a head of a man, a pelican, an eagle, a great dog and two leopards.
ch12: why did Aslan say to Peter that he would be the High King at Cair Paravel? Since Peter was the eldest of the four.
ch12: what did Peter do the wolf that was trying to kill Susan Peter drew his sword and inserted it in the wolf's heart and killed it.
ch12: what lesson did Alsan teach Peter about the sword? Aslan asked Peter to never forget to wipe his sword after he used it.
ch13: who came and rescued Edmund when the queen was about to harm him with a knife? p.111 the centaurs, unicorns, deer and birds that Aslan had with him came and fought the dwarf and the queen and took Edmund back with them.
ch13: what did the witch turn herself and the dwarf into to escape the soldiers of Aslan? she turned herself into a stump and the dwarf into a boulder. p.111.
ch13: what did Aslan convince the queen to do? He made the queen renounce the claim on Edmunds blood.

ch 14: what two plans of battle did Aslan explain to Peter? fighting the queen and her people in the woods and another for assaulting her castle.
ch14: whay was everyone in a sombre mood when preparing for the battle? since Aslan could not promise about his participation in the battle.
ch14: where did Aslan go leaving the children alone? he went to the Stone Table
ch14: who were waiting for him at the Stone Table? the queen's people and the queen
ch14: what did do to him? they tied his four paws and shaved his mane and teased him.
ch14: who was watching all of this from the bushes? Susan and Lucy
ch14: why was Aslan not protesting his killing by the queen? he had made a pact to offer his life to the queen in exchange of Edmund's life.
ch15: what was strange about the mice that climbed onto Aslan's dead body? they were friendly mice who started to tear of all the knots on his body
ch15: what magic took place early in the morning? Aslan came back to life.
ch15: HOW or WHY did Aslan come back to life? p.132-133 there was a incantation(a spell or charm) that the queen did not know about which said that if a willing victim who had commited no treachery was killed, the table would crack and Death would work backward.
ch15: where did Aslan take Lucy and Susan to from the Stone Table? Into the courtyard of the witch's castle.
ch16: what did Aslan upon reaching the castle? He started to bring to life all the statues that were there in the courtyard by breathing on them.
ch16: how did all the prosoners get out of the castle? Giant Rumblebuffin whom Aslan had brought back to life broke down the gates with his club.
ch17: who had destroyed the queen's sword? Edmund.
