HOW SHOULD YOUR WORK AREA BE? CLEAN AND UNCLUTTERED.
WHAT ITEMS SHOULD YOU KNOW THEIR LOCATIONS TO? EYEWASH STATION, FIRE BLANKET, FIRE EXTINGUISHER, AND FIRST-AID KITS.
WHAT IS THE BEST FABRIC OF CLOTHING TO WEAR DURING EXPERIMENTS? COTTON.
HOW LONG SHOULD YOU FLUSH YOUR EYES OUT FOR? 15 MINUTES.
IF ANYHTING GOES WRONG AT ALL WHAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU DO? NOTIFY THE TEACHER IMMDIATELY.
WHAT ARE SOMETHING YOU NEVER DO IN A WORK AREA? EAT, DRINK, OR APPLY MAKEUP.
WHAT DO YOU CHECK FOR WHEN USING GLASS MATERIALS? SMALL CRACKS OR HOLES THAT CAN DAMAGE MATERIAL MORE IF YOU APPLY HEAT OR ANYHTING ELSE TO IT.
HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD YOU READ THE LABELS PRINTED ON ANY LABRATORY EQUIPMENT? AT LEAST 2X. (TWICE)
ARE YOU ALLOWED TO TAKE CHEMICALS OUT OF THE WORK ARE? NO. NEVER TRANSPORT ANY CHEMICALS TO DESKS OR WORK BENCHES OUT OF THE WORK AREA.
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU NEVER WEAR IN A WORK AREA? SANDALS(OPEN TOED SHOES), LONG HAIR NOT PULLED BACK. (PULL BACK/PONY TAIL.)
WHAT IS THE VERY FIRST THING YOU DO BEFORE STARTING AN EXPERIMENT? CLEAN THE ENTIRE WORK AREA.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF BURN YOUR SELF? NOTIFY TEACHER AND PLUNGE HAND IN COLD WATER FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF CHEMICALS GET IN YOUR EYES? NOTIFY TEACHER AND FLUSH EYE OUT WITH WATER FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING TO DO AFTER PREFORMING AN EXPERIMENT? WASH HANDS THOUROUGHLY WITH WARM WATER AND SOAP.
WHAT ARE SAFTEY GOGGLES BEST FOR? CHEMICALS SPLASHING UP FROM BEAKERS.
WHAT SHOULD YOU AVOID WHILE USING CHEMICALS? PUTTING YOUR HANDS TO YOUR MOUTH.
WHEN CUTTING SOMETHING WHICH WAY DO YOU CUT? CUT AWAY FROM YOUR BODY AND AWAY FROM CLASS MATES.
IF YOU WANT TO SMELL A CHEMICAL HOW SHOULD YOU DO IT? WAVE THE CHEMICALS SMELL TOWARDS YOUR NOSE INHALING ONLY A LITTLE.
