What is a controlled experiment? An experiment in which only one variable is changed at a time.
What is a hypothesis? a possible answer to a question based on gathered information.
What is a test tube? a cylindrical tube, usually smaller than a beaker, that is open at one end and closed at the other.
Manipulated variables are also called what? independent variables.
What are bar graphs best used for? counting and to show how a number of objects or events compare in relationship to a single property.
The longer the bar the greater what? amount of the object or frequency of the event.
What are line graphs best used for? to show a relationship between two measured quantities, usually as a trend over time.
Responding variables are also sometimes called what? dependent variables.
Scientists design what to test a hypothesis? experiments.
All factors that can change in an experiment are called? variables.
