Meteors Small stacks of dust that are sometimes refered to as shooting stars. Many meteors hit the earth every day.
Comets A mixture of what and gases that are only visable when by the sun.
Inner Planets Terrestrial planets. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars.
Outer Planets Gas planets. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
The Sun The largest object in the solar system. A large star.
Mercury Has no moons. The smallest planet
Venus The third smallest planet.
Earth The only planet known to sustain life
Mars The second smallest planet. Known as the red planet Has two moons
Saturn Has rings. The second largest planet
Uranus The third largest planet in the solar system. Has twenty seven moons
Neptune the fourht largest planet. Has 13 moons
Jupiter The largest planet. Has 63 moons.
Pluto Is now known as a dwarf planet
