What are Minerals? Naturally occuring, inorganic solid that has a crystal structure and a definite chemical composition.
Is a man made materials, (such as plastics, bricks, or steel) mineral? no
What does Inorganic mean? "Inorganic" means not living or made by life processes.
Minerals have to be... solids with a definite shape and volume.
Factors to identifying minerals are... Color, streak, Luster, Hardness, Crystal systems, cleavage and fracture, and magnetism.
