Anton Van Leeuwenhoek (Duchman) Built one of the worlds first microscopes, then In 1680 he discovered microscopic creatures that could not be seen with the naked eye.
Hobert Hooke (Englishman) In 1665, he looked at a thin slice of cork through a microscope and saw thin little empty boxes, which he called cells. In 1680, he proved leeuwenhoek was right when Hooke repeated Van Leeuwenhoek's pepper water experiment.
Matthias Schleiden (German) In 1838, he studied plant parts under a microscope and concluded that all plants were made of cells.
Theodor Schwann (German) In 1839, he studied animal parts under a microscope and concluded that all LIVING THINGS were made of cells.
Roudolph Virchow (Russian) In 1854, he studied all types of cells and concluded that all cells come from existing cells.
