Labetalol is contraindicated for : Hypotension , Bradycardia , AV Blocks , Heart Failure , COPD , or Asthma
Labetalol is a slow push over 5 min
Treatable BP in the HTN protocol 230 sys AND/OR 120 dys
Treat BP to a end point 185 sys AND/OR 90 dys
___ will NOT be utilized in these Pt.'s NTG
Never treat HTN based on one set of vitals
All symptomatic Pt.'s with HTN should be transported with their head elevated 15-30 degrees
Differential Diagnosis AMS, Hypoglycemia, Trauma, Major Surgery less than 14 days
