What is one example of a prokaryotic organism? Bacteria
What is the function of cytoplasm? contains genetic material of a prokaryotic cell; where most of the work of the cell is carried out
What is the function of the cell membrane? a protective outer covering that encloses every cell
What is the function of the cell wall? tough outer covering just outside the cell membrane only found in plant cells
What is the function of the nucleus? where the genetic material of the eukaryotic cell is found; needed to reproduce and function
