Experimental Study maximum confidence in casual conclusions. a study aimed at comparing the effects of 2 interventions/tx on outcomes. Most experimental studies use random assignment of participants to tx grps, careful measurements of outcomes and control of as many extraneous variables as is feasible to achieve

Adequate Sample size- Power analysis a way of determining sample size that factors in effect size, the p-value cut point, and the risk of reaching a wrong conclusion the researcher is willing to accept. Right way to determine sample size for correlational and experimental studies
