This study stack will help you prepare for your test

How are the earth and the moon alike? They are both made of rock.
What is the correct order of the inner planets? Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars
What is the correct order of the outer planets? Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto
What separates the inner from the outer planet? The asteroid belt
What would you find at the center of our solar system? A star (which is called the sun)
What three things is a galaxy a collection of? Stars, gas, and dust
How would you define the universe? Everything that exists
What keeps the planets in orbit around the sun? Gravity
What causes a year on the Earth? The Earth completes one full revolution around the sun
What causes day and night? The rotation of the Earth on its axis.
Why is the sun important to our survival on Earth? It provides us with light and heat
What are the five steps in the scientific process? Identify the problem, write a hypothesis, plan out your materials and process, complete the experiment and record the data, draw a conclusion
Put the following in order from the largest to the smallest: solar system, local group, galaxy, universe, North America. universe, local group, galaxy, solar system, North America
What are the 4 types of galaxies? irregular, spiral, barred, and elliptical
