What is a streak? the color left behind when a mineral is rubbed against a white tile
What is sedimentary rock? a rock formed from material that has settled into layers
What is ingeous rock? a rock that has cooled and hardened
What is hardness? property of a mineral
How is igneous rock formed? when magma/lava cools and hardens
What are the properties of minerals? color, hardness, and streak
What is the Mohs scale? a scale to test how the softness of a mineral (1) to the hardness of a mineral (10)
What do rocks need in order to change? time, heat, and pressure
