| Trophic Level | Is the position of the food chain in the organism. |
| Tolerance | The ability to take unusually large amounts of drugs. |
| Symbiosis | The relation between two different species of organisms. |
| Population | All the inhabitants of a particular town, area, or country. |
| Parasitism | Living as a parasite of an organism. |
| Niche | A shallow recess, esp. one in a wall to display a statue or other ornament. |
| Mutualism | The doctrine that mutual dependence is necessary to social well-being. |
| Limiting Factor | A factor present in an environment that controls a process, particularly the growth, abundance or distribution of a population of organisms in an ecosystem. |
| Heterotroph | An organism deriving its nutritional requirements from complex organic substances. |
| Habitat | A natural environment of an animal or plant. |
| Food Web | A system of where there are two or more people or things depending on animals in the food chain as food. |
| Food Chain | A series of animals using other animals smaller than them as a food source. |
| Ecosystem | A community of organisms and how they interact and their physical environment. |
| Decomposer | An organism, esp. a soil bacterium, fungus, or invertebrate, that decomposes organic material. |
| Commensalism | An association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm. |
| Climax Community | An association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm. |
| Biotic Factor- | A factor created by a living thing or any living component within an environment. |
| Biosphere | The regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth (or analogous parts of other planets) occupied by living organisms. |
