Safety and Medications Techniques "Six Rights" Right drug, dose, time, route, patient, and documentation.
Check the drug atleast 3 times When you get it, before you open it, and before you administer it.
Intramuscular Needle Isertion Angle (IM) 90 degrees, deep into muscle tissue where the drug is absorbed thru blood vessels within the muscle
Subcutaneous Needle Insertion Angle (Subcut) 45 or 90 degree angle, into loose connective tissue under dermis.
Intradermal Needle Insertion Angle (ID) 5 to 15 degrees, given into the outer layer of the dermis in very small amounts.
