How is PPROM treated (<32w), PROM 32-34w, PROM 34w+? PPROM: give steroids and ABx. 32-34: check lungs, if mature, deliver. If not, give ABx +steroids, deliver at 34w. 34w+: ABx + delivery
How do you treat braxton hicks (irregular) contractions? walk it off i.e. reassurance and f off
if premature labor starts, what do you do at <34w? tocolysis (+ ampicillin for GBS)
placenta previa treatment? if first trimester, leave it be..itll move. if at term, do C sections once lungs mature (tocolysis until then, you CANNOT deliver vaginally)
Early decel? fetal head compression
late decel? uteroplacental insufficiency (hypoxia)
variable decel? umblical cord compression, change mothers position
when do you do fetal scalp electrode? if fetal distress at >36w, do it during labor
