What are the steps of the scientific method in order? Problem, Hypothesis, Test, Observations, Conclusion
What's an observation? Anything you hear, taste, smell, touch or see during the experiment.
What is an inference? what you can assume from an observation.
What is mass? The amount of matter in an object.
What is volume? The amount of space an object takes up.
What is weight? The pull of gravity on an object.
What is distance? Length of space between point A and point B.
What is density? Amount of matter in an object.
What is a meter stick? A measurement tool to measure distance in metric units.
What is a balance? A measurement tool that measures mass.
What is a scale? A measurement tool that measures weight.
What is a stopwatch? A measurement tool that measures time.
What is a thermometer? A measurement tool that measures temperature.
What is a graduated cylinder? A measurement tool that measures volume.
What is a meter? A unit of measurement that measures distance (metric)
What's a gram? Unit of measurement (mass)
What's a Liter? metric unit of measurement (volume)
What's a Kilogram? metric unit of mass
What's a newton? unit of weight
What's a joule? unit of work
What's a Watt? unit of power (= to 1 Joule per second)
What's Celcius? A system of temperature (metric)
What's Fahrenheit? System of temperature (U.S customary)
What's Kelvin? Systeme Internacional unit of temperature
What's direction? a point or region itself
What's motion? a change in position.
What is Frame of refrence? what you compare an object to, to determine and objects motion.
What is Speed? Velocity and time
What is constant speed? speed that stays the same
What is acceleration? speeding up or changing direction
What is deceleration? slowing down
What is tension? pulling or stretching force
What is compression? pushing or squeezing force
What is work? excerting a force over a distance
What is mechanical advantage? the machine splits the work with you
