Plates are pushed together and slide underneath each other as they are pushed together This causes partial melting of both the ocean crust and mantle as they slide past each other. What boundary is this? Convergent Boundary
Occur in the same way as convergent boundaries, however when 2 plate boundaries move towards each other and push against each other with forces that are equal. They crumble and fold. What boundary is this? Collision Boundary
Takes places where boundaries are coming apart The rocks between the plates crack and drop into the soft interior of the Earth. Magma liquid seeps up and fills the cracks. What boundary is this? Divergent Boundary
Occurs where two plates slide against each other Rather than sliding smoothly, the plates build up tension, then release the tension with a sudden violent jerk known as an Earthquake. What boundary is this? Transform Boundary
