Plants

What do roots do? hold up a plant, take in water and minerals, and help store food.
What are 3 things we use plants for? food, decorations, and medicine
What are the remains of a living thing from long ago? fossils
What is a deciduous tree? A tree that has leaves that fall off in the fall and grow back in the spring
What does germinate mean? Start to grow
What is a coniferous tree? a tree that grows cones and does not lose its leaves in the fall
What does extinct mean? It means that a plant or animal does not live on Earth anymore
What are the parts of a plant? roots, stem, leaves, and flower roots, stems, leaves and flower
What are three things a plant needs to live? air, water and energy from the sun
How is pollen tranferred to the seeds of a plant? by wind, animals, and water
