Lunar eclipse When the moon gets darkened by Earth's shadow.
Umbra The direct shadow cast during an eclipse. Total eclipses are visible when the moon or Earth is present in this location.
Penumbra Partial eclipses are visible when the Earth ro moon is in this location.
Tidal bulge high water level facing the moon due to the moon's gravitational pull on Earth.
Spring tides Bigger tides which happen during new and full moon phases.
Neap tides Weaker tides that happen during quarter moon phases.
