QuestionAnswer
 What is climate: The earth has a variety of climates which are defined as average temperature, precipitation, humidity, air pressure, and wind over time in a particular place.
 What is the composition of the atmosphere? The atmosphere is a mixture of gases, such as nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%), argon (0.93%), carbon dioxide (0.04%), trace gases and water vapor.
 Do these mixtures change as you go up in the atmosphere? they stay constant from the surface of the planet up to the top of the troposphere.
 What processes renew and use these gases on Earth? respiration, photosynthesis, evaporation, condensation, the weathering of rock, and the decay of organic matter.
 How do the properties of earth’s atmosphere change? properties such as altitude and the mixture of gases change with ELEVATION.
 What effects does air quality have on our planet? it affects the quality of life for all organisms on Earth.
 What effect does technology have on our ability to look at air quality? Technology allows us to measure the characteristics of the air and to monitor how air quality changes. It allows us to make informed decisions to protect air quality and risks to human health and other organisms.
 What does research show about how humans impact the atmosphere with pollution? research shows that the human impact on these factors has impacted the global system.
 What does research say about the use of fossil fuels and improving the atmosphere? it says that using less fossil fuel is the best way to improve air quality. Most forms of transportation add particles to the air and reduce the quality of the atmosphere. The burning of fossil fuels is the major cause of air pollution.
