endocrine gland functions

What is the function of the Pineal Gland? In the brain secretes melatonin and regulates our sleep pattern.
What is the function of the Hypothalmus Gland? Its the master gland that controls all of the other glands.
What do the testes do? They produce testosterone and sperm.
What does the thyroid do? Controls metabolism and use of energy and food.
What is the hyperthyroidism? it has overactive thyroid hormones. hypo means under active
What does parathyroid do? It aids digestion of calcium so that bones and teeth are strong and grow.
What is the thymus? It is present in kids and teens, disappears when is older. Turns on immune system. Establishes the immune system, shrinks after puberty.
What does the Adrenal Gland do? It produces hormones the help control the heart rate, blood pressure and food.
What does the Pituitary Gland control? It controls the growth and puberty.
What does the pancreas do? It produces digestive enzymes, and as an endocrine organ, produces hormones.
