Explain the water cycle When the sun warms water it evaporates. When the droplets are cool enough, they condense into clouds. Precipitation returns the water to the surface of the earth. The water collects in oceans, lakes, and rivers. This starts the cycle over -
Define Condensation water collecting in clouds as a solid or gas
Define Evaporation water traveling upward as a gas
Define Precipitation water falling from the sky as rain, snow, etc.

what is the difference between weather and climate? Weather is the general term for the behavior of the earth's atmosphere and its daily changes. Climate is the average weather in an area over a long period of time.
Define temperature- the hotness or coldness of the air
Define air pressure - the weight or gravitational pull of the air
What are the 4 types of clouds? Cumulus Cirrus Stratus Cumulonimbus
What is a cumulus cloud? puffy white clouds
what is a stratus cloud? low, foggy clouds
what is a cirrus cloud? high, thin, white, streaky clouds
What is cumulonibus cloud? a dark, puffy, rain bearing cloud
Define meteorology- the study of weather, climate, and the earth's atmosphere.
What does a Thermometer measure? measures the temperature of the air
What does a Barometer measure? measures the air pressure
What does a weather vane measure? measure the wind direction
What does a Beaufort scale measure? it measures wind and classifies?????
