Science Types of Fossils

QuestionAnswer
An imprint of anything on sediment that later hardens to rock. Imprint Fossils
Minerals fill in many hollows, and this becomes a fossil. Cast Fossils
Minerals replace wood or bone to create petrified wood or mineralized bone. Mineralized Fossils
The remains of an organism can be trapped in ice for thousands of years, and this is a fossil. Frozen Fossils
