QuestionAnswer
Decomposers Break down waste and dead organisms and return the raw materials to the ecosystem. Ex.: Mushrooms, Bacteria , and Fungi
Herbivore Consumers that only eat plants. Ex.: Caterpiller, Cow, and Deer
Food Web Consists of many interconnected food chains.
Scavengers Is a carnivore that feeds on the bodies of dead animals. Ex.: Catfish and Vultures
Omnivore Eats both plants and animals. Ex.: Crows, Bears, and most humans
Producer An organism that makes its own food.
Carnivore Consumers that only eats animals. Ex.: Lions and Spiders
Consumer An organism taht obtains energy by feeding on other organisms. Ex.: Lion
Energy Pyramid A diagram that shows the amount of energy that moves from oine energy level to another.
Food Chain A series of events in which one organism eats and obtains energy. Ex.: Tree-Carpenter Ant-WoodPecker Bird
