what is an ecosystem? includes all the organisms in an area and the environment in witch they live
what is an herbivore? an animal that eats plants or other producers
what is an carnivore? it eats mainly other animals
what is an omnivore? eats both plants and animals
what is a food chain? the transfer of food energy between organisms
what is a decomposer? a consumer that gets food energy by breaking down the remains ofdead organisyms
what is a food web? shows the relatoinships among different food chains
what is an energy piramid? shows that each level of a food chain passed on to the next level
what is a predator? what carnivores are called
what is prey? the animals carnivores eat
what is a habitat? place where a population lives
what is a population? a group of living organisyms of the same kind living in the same place
what is a community? all populations in a habitat
what is a terrestrial ecosystem? Land
what is a aqutic ecosystem? water
what is biosphire? all of the ecosystems on the entire planet
