Sedimentary Rock rock formed when elements are pressed or cemented together.
Igneous Rock rock formed from melted rock that comes from deep with in the earth.
Metamorphic rock a rock formed when igneous or sedimentary rocks are changed by heat or pressure.
Why do scientists study layers of rock to study what has changed from the past.
