Earth's Changing Crust

QuestionAnswer
fault A crack in the Earth's crust whose sides show evidence of motion.
Geologist A scientist who studies rocks to tell how they are formes and to predict when an Earthquake may occur in the future.
magma Hot molten rock deep below Earth's surface found inside of a volcano.
lava magma that reaches Earth's surface and is located on the outside of the volcano.
erosion the picking up and carrrying away of pieces.
weathering breaking down rocks into smaller pieces.
deposition the dropping off of eroded rocks and/or other natural materials.
metorite a chunck of rock from space that strikes the surface of Earth or the moon.
