Parts of a Poem

QuestionAnswer
repetition -The repeating of sounds, words, phrases, or lines in a poem. -Expresses strong feeling.
stanza A group of lines found in poems.
lines -The way that poets arrange words into rows. -The rows may or may not be sentences.
rhyme -Words that have the same ending sound. Ex. snow/crow
rhythm The beat of a poem.
form The way a poem looks on the page.
rhyme scheme The pattern of rhyming words at the end of the lines.
