what is Atmosphere?? The layers of gasses that surround Earth or another planet.
what is a wind vane?? Instrument that shows wind direction.
what is the mesophere?? Third layer of the atmoshere from the Earth, coldest layer; as altitude increases, temperature decreases
what is a psychrometer?? an instrument used to measure relative humidity.
What is cirrus?? thin, feathery clouds made of ice crystals;highest clouds.
What is humidity?? the amount of moisture in the air.
What is Solar Energy?? energy from the sun in the form of light and heat energy.
What is a Barometer?? an instriment that measures air pressure.
What is a front?? a boundry between air masses that have different temperatures humidty
What is a rain gauge?? records the amount of rain fall
What is atmosheric (air) pressure?? the downward pressure exerted by the weight of atmosphere.
What are greenhouse gasses?? gases that aare in the atmosphere that trap heat energy so that it cannot escape to space.
what is a condensation?? processs in which matter changes from a gaseous state to a liquid state.
what is the hydrosphere?? Any part of the Earth or its atmosphere in which water or water vapor is found
what is a hygrometer?? measures humidity
what is groundwater?? water that is in the porous parts of the Earth's crust.
What are clouds?? formed when water vapors attaches to a small particle of matter in the atmosphere
