what is a scientific law? a statement about how things work in nature that seems to be true all the time

what is variable? something in an expirement that can change
what is a constant? something in an expirement that stays the same

what is respiration? chemical reacations that occur that breakdown food molecules into simpler substances and releases their stored energy

what is a eukaryotic cell? cell membrane with bonds structures
what is a prokaryotic cell? cell membrane without bond structures
how do materials get into and out of a cell? through atice and passive transport.
what is active transport? when an input of energy is required to move materials through a cell membrane
what is passive transport? the movement of substances through the cell membrane without the input of energy.
what is endocytosis? the cell process that takes in a substance by surrounding it with the cell membrane
what is excytosis? contents of a vesicle can be released by a cell
what is seletively permeable? only certen things can pass
what is fermintation? when cells do not have enough oxygen for respiration, they use this process
what is a molecule? a group of atoms held together by energy of chemical bonds
what makes up a chromosome? a threadlike line or strand of dna and associated proteins in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells that carries genes.
