Interphase The point in the cell cycle in which DNA resembles a bunch of loose threads
Prophase The point in mitosis in which chrmosomes start to form and the nuclear envelope starts to weaken
Metaphase When chromosomes line up in the cell's middle
Anaphase When chromatids split and move to opposite sides of the cell

Guanine A nitrogen base. Cytosine's pair.
Enzyme What separates the DNA sides so that new bases can pair with the original sides.
Genes Instructions for making proteins that determine most of your characteristics.
RNA A half ladder containing uracil instead of thymine and sugar ribose instead of deoxyribose
mRNA Messenger RNA. Carries a code from the nucleus to the cytoplasm that determines how amino acids bond
