QuestionAnswer
weathering The process of wind or water breaking down rock into soil, sand and other tiny pieces.
erosion The process of moving sediment from one place to another.
deposition The process of dropping or depositing sediment in a new place.
destructive force A force that tears down the land on Earth.
constructive force A force that builds up the land on Earth.
sedimentary rock A rock formed by sediment that is deposited in layers, that is formed over time. Fossils are found here.
fossil fuels The remains of plants and animals buried in the Earth. Created by millions of years of heat and pressure.
alternative energy resources Resources we can use to create energy that will NOT deplete the Earth.
model A picture, idea or object that stands for an object or process.
