| Orbit | The path of revolution |
| Solar Eclipse | Where the moon blocks the sunlight |
| Lunar Eclipse | Where the earth blocks the moonlight |
| Summer Solstice | Tilted to the sun |
| Winter Solstice | Tilted away from the sun |
| Vernal Equinox | When night and day are equal in spring |
| Autumnal Equinox | When night and day are equal in fall |
