Glacial and Wind Erosion

| Continental Glacier | thick sheet of ice that covers a huge land mass (like Antarctica or Greenland). |
| Valley Glacier | Glacier that occurs in high mountains. |
| Plucking | Process similar to ice-wedging that occurs under glaciers. Rock under the glacier breaks and is transported at the glacier's base. |
| Abrasion | Glacial erosion done by scratching done by ice and rock at the glacier's base. |
| U shaped Valley | V-shaped valley that is widened by movement of a glacier. |
| Cirques | bowl shaped valleys carved in mountains by glaciers. |
| Horns | Pyramid - shaped mountain peak formed by glacial erosion |
| Till | Unsorted mixture of sediment containing fragments of many sizes (Boulders, gravel, sand, clay). |
| Moraine | Mounds of till at the end and sides of glacier. Pushed ahead of glacier like a snow pile in front of a plow. |
| Dunes | Deposits of wind blown sand |
