What is the job of the kidneys? To filter wastes out from the blood as it produces urine
Gravitrophism The response of growing plants to gravity, the roots of a plant will always grown down
Levels of organization from simplest to most complex Cell-Tissue-Organ-Organ system-Organism
What does a spring scale measure? Force Weight (a measure of the force of gravity on an object)
What three elements are carbohydrates made of? Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen
Physical/mechanical digestion The process of food being broken into smaller and smaller pieces Example - biting and chewing of food in the mouth
Chemical digestion The breaking down of food into smaller and smaller molecules Example - acid breaking down food particles in the small intestine
