What type of weather does a warm front bring? some kind of light precipitation followed by humid warmer weather
What type of weather does a stationary front bring? continuous precipitation (usually for days)
What direction does the jet stream blow? west to east
Why do global winds curve? because of Earth's rotation
What type of air do polar easterlies carry? Cold
What direction do the westerlies blow? Move to the equator/move no direction
How is periodic table arranged? By increasing atomic #
What are rows known as? Periods
What are columns known as? Groups/Families
What do elements in the same column have in column? characteristics/properties
How do you find the number of protons for an atom? atomic # = protons
How do you find the number of neutrons for an atom? mass - # of protons
How do you find the number of electrons for an atom? same as the # of protons

What do waves transfer? energy
Formula for speed -> speed = distance / time
How can an object accelerate? by changing speed and direction
Newton's 1st Law Law of Inertia An object in motion will remain in motion, an object at rest will remain a rest; unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Newton's 2nd Law force = mass * acceleration
Newton's 3rd Law For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
What can increase acceleration of an object? Increase the force or decrease the mass.
