Density | The mass of an object divided by its volume. |

What should you wear when heating substances? | Goggles |
Atom | The smallest unit of an element. |
Nucleus | The center of an atom. |
Proton | Positively charged particle in the nucleus. |
Neutron | Neutrally charged particle in the nucleus. |
Electron | Negatively charged particle outside nucleus. |
Element | A substance that cannot be broken into simpler substances. |
Metal | An element that is luster, malleable, ductile, and a good conductor of heat and electricity. |
Nonmetal | An element that is brittle and a poor conductor of heat and electricity. |
Metalloid | An element that have properties of both metals and nonmetals. |
Chemical Equation | Tells what's happening. |
Chemical Formula | Shortened equation. |
Coefficient | Tells how many molecules of that molecule. |
Subscript | Tells how many of that atom. |
Physical Change | The appearance changes, but not the substance. |
Chemical Change | The substance changes and it becomes a new material. |
Force | A push or pull. |
Balanced Force | There will be no change in motion. |
Unbalanced Force | There will be a change in motion. |
Newtons 1st Law | An object at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. |
Newtons 2nd Law | Mass times force equals acceleration. |
Newtons 3rd Law | For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. |
Speed | Distance divided by time. |
Distance | Speed times time. |
Time | Distance divided by time |
What variables does a speed graph have? | Distance and time. |
What variables does an acceleration graph have? | Speed and time. |
What is the universe? | Everything. |
What is an asteroid? | A piece of rock in space, usually between Mars and Jupiter. |
What planets are in our solar system? | Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. |
Light Year | The distance light travels in one year. |
What is the Electromagnetic Spectrum? | The range of all possible frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. |
