Define Race and ethnicity Ethnicity - refers to the distinct cultural norms and values of a social group. Race - refers to an externally imposed system of social categorization and stratification
Define Majority & Minority Majority - those with power Minority - those without power
Define Prejudice & Discrimination Prejudice - refers to opinions or attitudes held by members of one group toward another. Discrimination - refers to ACTUAL behaviors toward another group.
Define Pluarlism & Multiculturalism Plualism - ethnic cultures is given full validity to exist seperately. Multicultiralism - ethnic groups exist separately but equally.
