Earthquake Term and Definition

Earthquake An Earthquake is the shaking and vibrating of land surfaces.(Earthquake don't last more than 5 minutes,I predict.)
Fault A Fault is a break in the rocks that make up the Earth’s crust,along which rocks on either side have moved past each other. (It's known as a crack.)
Seismograph Seismograph is a useful devices use to record the vibrations that in a Earthquake.
Body waves Body wave is seismic wave that moves through the interior of the earth,as opposed to surface waves that travel near the earth's surface. P and S waves are body waves.
P waves An P waves is like lightning,it shakes the ground back and forth in the same direction and the opposite direction as the direction the wave is moving.
S waves An S waves is seismic body wave that shakes the ground back and forth perpendicular to the direction the wave is moving. S waves is like thunder.
Triangulation Triangulation is a method that scientist use to locate an earthwuake's location.
