The Bohr Atom an e- orbits nucleus. the closest it is to it, it is at it's ground state. an e- absorbs E and jumps farthar from nucleus(excited state). the e- goes back to ground state emitting wavelength of light.

J.J Thompson Determines mass to be 1/1,000 of a Hydrogen atom.

Democritis said... Matter is composed of very small particles called atoms.
Law of Conservation is... matter is neither created nor destroyed.
Law of definite proportions is... every like chemical compound has the same ratio of elements.
