Where does lava begin Lava begins in the mantle
Liquid magma is Less dense than surrounding material so magma flows upwards into cracks
Magma rises until It reaches the surface or is trapped beneath layers of rock
Pressure decreases on lava when It rises and gets closer to the surface
During eruption gases in magma Are dissolved and rush out carrying magma with them
Beneath volcano magma Collects in pocket called magma chamber
