WordDefinition
Neutron A neutral charged particle in the nucleus of an atom.
Proton A positive charged particle in the nucleus of an atom.
Electron A negative charged particle which travels in clouds around an atoms nucleus.
Atomic Mass The mass of an atom.
Nucleus The center of the atom.
Electron Cloud Cloud which carries electrons around the nucleus.
Atomic Number Number of protons in an atom.
Mass Number Total number of protons andneutrons in an atom.
